Duties
• Operate an electronic checkout system, makes change and verifies change fund and amount of currency received during an assigned shift.
• Manage change machines ensuring proper amounts of cash and coins are available.
• Assist customers by answering questions concerning prices, identification and location of items.
• Count cash and negotiable instruments and prepares an accountability report.
• Manage the self check-out registers assisting customers in the correct processing of their purchases.
• Change register tape and clears routine equipment and scanning jams on registers.
Qualifications
To qualify for this position applications must possess at least six months of general experience OR one full year of education beyond the high school level.
General experience is described as progressively responsible clerical, office, or other work duties that indicate ability to perform the duties of a Sales Store Checker.
Appropriate education may be substituted for or combined with experience. This education must be from an accredited college or university accredited by an organization approved by the U.S. Department of Education. See http://www.ope.ed.gov/accreditation/Search.aspx.
Transcripts must be provided if you are using education to qualify. Failure to provide transcripts will result in you being rated ineligible for this position. We accept unofficial transcripts, as long as they contain the applicant’s name, the name of the school, the date and degree that was awarded, and the list of classes and credits earned.
