Sales Manager - Retail Sales

About This Role

Directing retail sales is the central function of this role, focusing on growing the deposit pool, driving sales of non-deposit products, and ensuring high service standards. The position suits an experienced banking professional with strong leadership and sales acumen, capable of managing branch operations and profitability.

Responsibilities

• Enhance the deposit pool from customers
• Establish standards and deliver service
• Sell non-deposit products, progressively meeting cross-selling targets
• Sell MF and insurance products
• Generate fee income
• Perform branch administration
• Ensure regulatory compliance
• Manage productivity and overall morale of branch team members
• Be overall responsible for the break-even and P&L of the branch

Requirements

• Overall 6 years of banking experience, with 3-4 years in retail liabilities
• Must have sales experience and exposure, preferably with liabilities products
• Qualifications: MBA / CA / CAIB
• Good leadership skills (though more tactical than strategic)
• Thinker: Doer – 40:60
• In-depth understanding of financial instruments, markets, and macro-micro economic processes
• Ability to carry along all the units involved in the customer service cycle to ensure customer “DELIGHT”
• Liaise with the product management team, marketing, and other centers and verticals for new product development, service enhancements, and sales initiatives
