This is a business area responsible for selling, executing, and operating wind turbines in Italy, Greece and Cyprus. With our presence and experience in this region, and with new opportunities that we see in the coming years, we aim to remain the energy industry's global partner of choice for sustainable energy solutions.

Our Sales Managers are responsible for pursuing and securing some of the most exciting onshore wind projects. If you relish the opportunity to develop effective commercial proposals for our customers and are motivated to manage the contractual negotiations, then you should consider this role further.

Responsibilities

Analyze, evaluate and select new customers and projects in the Greek and Cyprus market to identify potential business opportunities

Control and coordinate the proposal definition interfacing with other departments (service, projects, product support, etc) to issue quotations and tender responses

Coordinate and follow up on sales activities necessary to finalize the contracts in cooperation with internal departments (Legal, Finance, Technical, Transport, Projects, Service, QSE,..) to bring the project to the signature of sales contracts

Control and coordinate the presentation, negotiation and signing of contracts with clients in order to reach out the defined business targets

Support the representation of Vestas Greek organization during external events and meetings, acting as the point of reference for suppliers and stakeholders

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Economics

Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in similar roles and industries

Fluency in English and Greek (written and spoken)

Customer Relationship Management: Demonstrated ability to build and maintain long-term relationships with customers, key stakeholders, and business partners

Negotiation & Contract Management: Effective negotiation skills with experience managing commercial agreements and contract discussions

Market Intelligence: Ability to analyze market trends, competitive dynamics, regulatory developments, and customer needs to identify growth opportunities

Commercial Acumen: Understanding of financial drivers, profitability, risk assessment, and value creation

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Ability to work effectively with technical, project execution, engineering, legal, and finance teams to deliver business value

Results Orientation: Demonstrated focus on meeting targets, overcoming obstacles, and delivering measurable business outcomes

Communication & Presentation Skills: Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present effectively to management and customers

Ability to Adjust & Business Acumen: Comfortable operating in evolving environments and addressing changing market conditions

Renewable Energy Industry Knowledge is valuable: understanding of the renewable energy sector, including wind energy market dynamics, project development processes, and regulatory frameworks

Additional information

This is a hybrid position based in Athens, Greece, and requires both national and occasional international travels.
