Our client is a growing industrial automation and electrical solutions provider, supplying control systems such as PLCs, HMIs, SCADA, drives and motion-control solutions to industries including manufacturing, electronics, F&B and logistics. They are hiring a Sales Engineer (Control Systems) to develop business opportunities and provide technical solutions to customers. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Identify and pursue new sales opportunities within Singapore.
• Develop and maintain a robust sales pipeline to achieve and exceed sales targets.
• Prepare and deliver compelling technical presentations, proposals, and quotations.
• Negotiate contracts and close sales, managing the entire sales cycle from lead to order.
• Conduct market research to identify trends and new potential applications for our products.
• Work closely with customers to understand their technical requirements and process challenges.
• Recommend and design appropriate control system architectures (e.g., PLC-based systems, HMI integration, network topologies).
• Provide pre-sales technical support, including product demonstrations, proof-of- concepts, and feasibility studies.
• Liaise with our technical team and principal suppliers to develop the best technical solutions for complex projects.
• Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key decision-makers, engineers, and project managers at existing and new client accounts. Provide regular updates and after-sales support to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
• Act as the primary technical contact for customers, ensuring their needs are met and issues are resolved promptly.
• Collaborate with the internal sales, marketing, and engineering teams to align strategies and share market insights.
• Provide feedback from the field to management on product performance, competitor activities, and market demands.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Diploma/Degree in Electrical/Electronics/Mechatronics Engineering or a related field.

• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a Sales Engineer, Application Engineer, or similar technical sales role, preferably within the industrial automation, control systems, or components distribution industry.

• Candidates with a strong technical background in control systems (e.g., as an Automation/Control Engineer) looking to move into a sales role are strongly encouraged to apply.

• Strong understanding of control system components such as PLCs (e.g., Siemens, Mitsubishi, Allen-Bradley), HMIs, SCADA, Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), and motion control.

• Ability to manage the full sales cycle.

• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Proficiency in MS Office Suite; experience with a CRM is a plus.

• Salary: S$4,000 + Variable Bonus (salary will commensurate according to experience & qualifications)
