Sales Counselor

About This Role

This position sells pre-need and at-need funeral services and inventory, as well as cemetery services, property, and merchandise. The Sales Counselor assists families with funeral selections and attends services. Leads are generated through a combination of walk-ins, inbound calls, and proactive lead generation and prospecting.

Responsibilities

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Some additional education preferred in a related area such as Business, Marketing, and/or Sales
• 1 year of sales experience preferred
• Valid driver’s license and access to a personal vehicle
• Proficiency in MS Office (Microsoft Excel and Outlook)
• Experience working in a CRM (lead management system preferred)
• Strong attention to detail with problem-solving skills
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Strong organizational and planning skills in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to maintain a high level of discretion and confidentiality when handling sensitive information
• Availability to work some holidays, evenings, and weekends as needed
