**Role Description<

The Sales Advisor role at AIA is a full-time, hybrid position based in Kuala Lumpur, with flexibility for some work-from-home arrangements. The Sales Advisor is responsible for engaging prospective and existing customers, understanding their protection and savings needs, and recommending suitable AIA insurance and financial solutions. Day-to-day activities include conducting consultations, preparing proposals, following up on leads, and managing the end-to-end sales process from initial contact to policy issuance. The role also involves providing ongoing customer service, maintaining accurate records in AIA’s systems, and collaborating with team members to achieve sales and service targets. Sales Advisors may participate in training programs, promotional events, and outreach activities to grow their client base and stay current with product and regulatory updates.
Qualifications
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build trust-based relationships with diverse customers and colleagues.
- Excellent communication capabilities, including clear spoken and written communication and active listening.
- Customer service and client care skills, with a focus on responsiveness, follow-through, and solution-oriented support.
- Proven sales abilities, including prospecting, needs analysis, negotiation, and closing, ideally within financial services or insurance.
- Training and coaching aptitude, with willingness to participate in continuous learning and apply new product and compliance knowledge.
- Diploma or degree in business, finance, marketing, or a related field is preferred; relevant professional certifications are an advantage.
- Comfort with using digital tools, CRM systems, and online communication platforms to manage sales activities and client interactions.
- High level of integrity, adherence to regulatory requirements, and commitment to ethical sales practices.**
