Safety Technician

About This Role

The Safety Technician manages, analyzes, and reports Health & Safety data for their business unit. They perform data entry, mining, queries, and audits for the Health & Safety function, ensuring accurate and current data for reports and portals. This role assists with special projects and regulatory safety compliance, tracking compliance and maintaining audit readiness.

Responsibilities

• Maintain knowledge of Health & Safety technology and systems to ensure proficiency and suggest improvements to reporting processes
• Gather and organize data to create Health & Safety reports from integrated HR systems
• Run reports for auto accidents, injuries, and safety training to provide information to Health and Safety and business unit management
• Verify injury and illness reports are complete and accurate for each UPS facility
• Track updates to injury cases to ensure injured employee and case management processes are followed properly and completed in a timely manner
• Work with Health and Safety management to identify required information and Key Performance Indicators for Health and Safety reports
• Conduct on-area observations and assist with training to mitigate risk

Requirements

• Experience demonstrating proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite Products (Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
• Able to work flexible shift hours
