About the role
Job Description:
HCP Wellness Pvt. Ltd. is seeking a dedicated and experienced Safety Officer (EHS) to ensure workplace safety, compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations, and promote a culture of safety within our manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for implementing and monitoring safety protocols, conducting risk assessments, and ensuring adherence to legal safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
✔Develop, implement, and enforce environmental, health, and safety (EHS) policies within the organization.
✔Conduct regular safety audits, risk assessments, and inspections to ensure a hazard-free workplace.
✔Ensure compliance with local and national safety regulations and industry standards.
✔Organize and conduct EHS training programs for employees to enhance safety awareness.
✔Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, prepare reports, and recommend corrective measures.
✔Maintain proper documentation of safety policies, procedures, and compliance records.
✔Work closely with management to implement corrective and preventive action plans.
✔Ensure proper handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous materials.
✔Promote a culture of safety-first approach across the company.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
✔Bachelor’s degree/Diploma in Industrial Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
✔Certification in Occupational Health & Safety (OSHA, NEBOSH, or equivalent) is preferred.
✔Minimum 2-5 years of experience in an EHS role, preferably in a manufacturing or FMCG environment.
✔In-depth knowledge of safety regulations, environmental laws, and industry best practices.
✔Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
✔Excellent communication and training skills to educate employees on workplace safety.
✔Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and safety management software is an advantage.
