About the role
- Position: Safety officer (6-Month / Construction/ Cleanroom Projects)
- Location: Mapletree Hi-Tech Park @ Kallang Way
- Working hours: 5.5-day work week, office hours
- Salary (commensurate with experience) : Up to $6000
- Duration: Employment Type: 6-month contract -Convertible to permanent employment or extendable based on work performance
- Industry: Construction / Cleanroom Engineering
Main Responsibilities:
- Implement and maintain WSH policies, procedures, records and documentation.
- Ensure project site compliance with WSH regulations, company rules and safe work practices.
- Conduct site inspections, safety briefings, orientations and toolbox meetings.
- Identify workplace risks and ensure risk assessments and control measures are in place.
- Lead safety coordination with subcontractors and site teams.
- Assist in safety audits and investigate incidents, near misses and dangerous occurrences.
- Monitor safety performance, trends and improvement actions.
- Organise safety training, awareness programmes and mandatory safety initiatives.
- Liaise with authorities, clients, consultants and internal teams on WSH matters.
- Coordinate WSH meetings, audits and inspections, including minutes and follow-up actions.
Requirements:
- Registered Workplace Safety and Health Officer will be advantageous.
- Relevant experience in construction, cleanroom, M&E or engineering project safety.
- Familiar with WSH Act, WSH regulations and site safety requirements.
- Experience in risk assessment, incident investigation and safety documentation.
- Able to conduct toolbox meetings, safety briefings and site inspections.
- Good communication and coordination skills with site teams, subcontractors and clients.
- Organised, detail-oriented and able to follow up on corrective actions.
