Safety Manager

Requirements

• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations for application in the Service Line
• Basic understanding of risk mitigation techniques
• Ability to develop reports, business correspondence, and procedures
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Excellent computer skills
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables
• Working knowledge of government regulations/compliance, safety compliance, and industrial hygiene
• Strong business acumen
• Strong analytical skills
• Strategic thinking abilities

• Ability to influence where direct reporting lines do not exist

• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
• Must pass pre-employment drug and alcohol screening and be subject to random screening during employment
• Legally authorized to work in the United States
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in Heavy Civil Construction
• First Aid and CPR instructor Certified (can obtain post-hire)

Nice to have:

• Bachelor's degree in safety, or safety-related field from an accredited university
• OSHA 500 certification
• CHST or equivalent
• Bilingual (English-Spanish) preferred

Important Details

• Locations: multiple sites across Arizona
• Work format: work from home/hybrid is available for administrative days when not traveling
• Travel: up to 60% required
• Travel provisions: company vehicle and fuel card provided; meals and lodging provided for overnight travel; per diem option for living assistance for full-time travelers
