Responsibilities
- Lead driver safety initiatives through coaching, guidance, and ongoing communication
- Oversee company safety programs and ensure transportation safety standards and regulatory requirements are followed
- Review safety incidents, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement corrective actions to prevent future incidents
- Help protect and maintain company equipment by overseeing safety inspections and supporting maintenance practices that reduce breakdowns, control costs, and improve fleet efficiency
- Collaborate with different departments to establish safe work practices and support daily operations
- Oversee driver safety training, onboarding procedures, and safety-related documentation
- Build positive relationships with drivers while leading a company-wide culture where safety always comes first
Requirements
- Experienced in transportation or trucking safety management, with strong leadership capabilities
- Responsible, dependable, and committed to maintaining high safety and compliance standards
- Organized and capable of overseeing multiple safety priorities in a fast-paced environment
- A strong communicator who can coach, guide, and hold drivers accountable while maintaining positive relationships
