From June 26 to August 11, the 2024 call for applications for the "Raíces" incubation program is open, aimed at financing sustainable tourism in indigenous territories.
The selected ideas will be eligible for up to ₡4 million in non-refundable funds for incubating ideas and ₡10-15 million for associative groups. In addition, participants will have the opportunity to access training courses and further financial resources to strengthen their business models, managed through a partnership with the National Learning Institute (INA) and the Ministry of Labor and Social Security (MTSS). This is the schedule of information sessions to be held in each of the target territories:
- July 1 – China Kichá (9:00 am – 10:30 am) – China Kichá Activity Center.
- July 2 – Salitre (9:00 am – 10:30 pm) – ADI Hall.
- July 2 – Ujarrás (3:00 pm – 4:30 pm) – Community Hall.
- July 3 – Cabagra (9:00 am – 10:30 am) – Community Hall.
- July 4 – Térraba (9:00 am – 10:30 am) – Traditional House of the Council of Elders.
- July 4 – Boruca (5:00 pm – 6:30 pm) – Boruca Community Hall.
- July 5 – Rey Curré (9:00 am – 10:30 am) – Rey Curré Community Hall.
