This role supports daily housekeeping operations, cleaning and preparing guest rooms, maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards, replenishing room supplies, and ensuring that rooms are presentable, comfortable, and ready for occupancy. It suits a dependable, detail-oriented, and hardworking individual.
Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize guest rooms, bathrooms, and assigned areas according to established standards
- Make beds, change linens, and replace towels as needed
- Dust furniture, fixtures, windowsills, and other surfaces
- Vacuum carpets, sweep floors, and mop hard flooring
- Clean and disinfect toilets, showers, sinks, mirrors, and other bathroom fixtures
- Replenish toiletries, towels, linens, and other guest room supplies
- Remove trash and replace trash can liners
- Inspect rooms for cleanliness, damage, maintenance issues, and missing items
- Report maintenance concerns, damaged property, or lost-and-found items to the supervisor
- Follow proper procedures for handling cleaning chemicals and operating housekeeping equipment
- Maintain housekeeping carts, storage areas, and cleaning supplies in an orderly manner
- Follow established procedures for guest privacy, room access, and security
- Complete assigned rooms within the required timeframes while maintaining quality standards
- Perform additional housekeeping duties as assigned by management
Requirements
- Previous hotel housekeeping or cleaning experience preferred but not required
- Ability to follow cleaning procedures and supervisor instructions
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Dependable, punctual, and able to maintain consistent attendance
- Ability to manage time effectively and complete assigned tasks within established deadlines
- Must comply with company policies, safety procedures, and applicable workplace requirements
