Room Attendant

About This Role

This role is responsible for cleaning and maintaining guest rooms, hallways, furnishings, flooring, and work areas within a hotel environment. It involves a variety of cleaning tasks, including refilling supplies, sanitizing equipment, and making beds, to ensure a pleasant and hygienic experience for guests.

Responsibilities

• Make beds
• Replenish supplies, such as drinking glasses and writing supplies
• Clean rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, locker rooms and other work areas
• Clean rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies, using vacuum cleaners
• Dust furniture and equipment
• Polish metalwork, such as fixtures and fittings
• Wash walls, ceilings, and woodwork
• Wash windows, door panels, and sills
• Empty wastebaskets and empty and clean ashtrays
• Transport trash and waste to the disposal area
• Replenish bathroom supplies
• Replace light bulbs
• Abide by the regulations set forth by the material safety data sheets when using chemicals
• Report to work for scheduled shifts on time and in uniform in accordance with company policy
• Know and comply with all company policies and procedures pertaining to this position and its duties
• Take the initiative to greet guests in a friendly and warm manner
• Perform other related duties as required

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED certification or equivalent experience preferred
• Hotel housekeeping experience preferred
• Basic reading, writing, and math skills
• Experience with Hotel Brand systems preferred
• Customer service skills
• Prioritization and time management skills
• Ability to work quickly without compromising quality
• Strong attention to detail
