Room Attendant

Maintaining guest rooms and common areas to the highest standards is the core of this role, ensuring guests have a clean, comfortable, and welcoming environment. This position suits a dependable and detail-oriented individual committed to delivering excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Clean and service assigned guest rooms according to company standards, including making beds, changing linens, dusting, vacuuming, cleaning bathrooms, and replenishing amenities
• Clean and maintain assigned public areas and common spaces
• Report maintenance issues, damaged items, or safety hazards to management promptly
• Restock housekeeping carts and supplies at the end of each shift
• Empty vacuums, dispose of trash, and maintain a clean and organized work area
• Turn in all lost and found items immediately following company procedures
• Keep storage rooms and linen closets clean, organized, and secured
• Complete required housekeeping documentation, including linen reports and room status updates
• Notify the front desk promptly when rooms are cleaned and ready for occupancy
• Inspect furniture, fixtures, and equipment for cleanliness and proper condition, reporting any concerns to management
• Maintain security of assigned room keys at all times and follow all key control procedures
• Follow all hotel safety, security, and cleanliness standards
• Greet guests in a friendly, courteous, and professional manner
• Maintain guest privacy and confidentiality at all times
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Head Housekeeper or Manager

Requirements

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Dependable, punctual, and reliable attendance
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Ability to follow instructions and company policies
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, and climb stairs throughout the shift
• Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds independently
• Ability to request assistance for lifting or moving items over 25 pounds
• Ability to perform repetitive cleaning tasks in a fast-paced environment

Nice to have:

• Previous housekeeping or hotel experience
• 1 year of cleaning experience
