Responsibilities

- Repair or replace damaged sections of existing roofs to extend their lifespan
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to ensure precise installation
- Operate power tools and hand tools safely and efficiently during roofing projects
- Conduct inspections of roofs to identify issues related to leaks, wear, or structural damage
- Use welding techniques when necessary for metal roofing or flashing repairs
- Assist with fabrication and custom fitting of roofing components to meet project specifications
- Perform heavy lifting of roofing materials and equipment while adhering to safety standards
- Collaborate with team members on construction sites, including carpentry, masonry, plumbing, and other trades as needed
- Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and disposing of debris properly
Requirements
- Proficiency in reading schematics and technical drawings for accurate project execution
- Skilled in welding techniques for metal roof components and flashing repairs
- Comfortable using a variety of hand tools such as hammers, screwdrivers, chisels, and measuring devices
- Experience in construction environments with knowledge of roofing materials and methods
- Ability to operate power tools safely including nail guns, drills, saws, and compressors
- Knowledge of fabrication processes for custom roofing parts or flashing components
- Strong carpentry skills for framing or structural adjustments related to roofing projects
- Capable of heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks required on construction sites
- Basic understanding of plumbing or masonry work that intersects with roofing projects is a plus
