Key Responsibilities
- Analyse critical cross-sections; define zone master sections and SAMs; maintain 3D layouts for locomotive variants.
- Perform local pre-design and integrate equipment across underframe, roof, cab, structural, and fitting zones.
- Produce horizontal and vertical 2D clearance plans for car-to-car, trainset-to-trainset, and coupling configurations.
- Conduct body-to-bogie clash and proximity analyses, identify risk zones, and issue structured reports and mitigation inputs.
- Create and update harmonised diagrams covering capacity, body sections, equipment, cameras, screens, accessibility, cabin, and safety.
- Manage mass requirements and evidence in DOORS; prepare TRS Weight documentation and negotiate mass allocations with system engineers.
- Build and maintain M3 mass balances with tolerances, centres of gravity, inertias, KPIs, and review material.
