About the role
Robotics Technician Jobs São Paulo (Remote) Rex.zone is hiring a mid-senior Robotics Technician to support industrial robotics and automation operations in a remote-first workflow. You will troubleshoot downtime issues, standardize maintenance procedures, and collaborate with engineering to improve reliability across deployments.
Key Responsibilities
- Own troubleshooting for industrial robot cells (alarms, motion faults, communication faults, I/O issues)
- Execute preventive maintenance, inspections, lubrication schedules, and component replacement
- Commission and validate new or modified automation equipment, including EOAT and fixtures
- Support PLC-controlled systems: verify I/O mapping, network connectivity, and interlocks
- Maintain safety compliance: E-stops, light curtains, safety relays, and lockout/tagout procedures
- Calibrate sensors and vision components; validate part detection and alignment
- Create service documentation: root-cause analysis, corrective actions, and maintenance checklists
- Coordinate with engineering and vendors on escalations, parts, and corrective engineering changes
- Track downtime metrics and propose reliability improvements to reduce recurring failures
Required Qualifications
- Experience maintaining and troubleshooting industrial robotics or automated production systems
- Hands-on electrical/mechanical troubleshooting (motors, drives, sensors, pneumatics)
- Ability to read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
- Practical knowledge of PLC-controlled systems and industrial networking concepts
- Comfort using structured workflows: tickets, SOPs, change logs, and maintenance records
- Strong root-cause analysis skills and clear communication
- Ability to work in a remote-first environment with asynchronous coordination
Compensation Hourly base pay range: $30–$50/hr (USD).
