About the role
Who we are We are a team that designs and researches multi-joint robots that emulate human body structures and movements, such as dual-arm robots, based on internalized robotics technology. From joint structure design constituting the robot's arms, hands, legs, and torso, to actuator and power transmission system design, and kinematics and dynamics analysis that calculate robot posture and motion, diverse experts in the field of mechanical design collaborate as one team to perform tasks that enhance the mechanical completeness of robots.
Responsibilities In this role, you will manage the entire robot development process—from concept proposal to design, analysis, prototyping, and evaluation—with the goal of developing stable and reliable articulated robots that meet requirements. Through this process, you will ensure high performance and functionality, and carry out the development of articulated robots that can further lead to mass production.
■ Robot Basic Specification Design
- System-Level Basic Specification Design for Meeting Robot Target Performance
- Analyzing required specifications and defining system specifications
- Establishing robot shape and structure concepts
■ Drivetrain and Mechanism Design
- Optimal Drivetrain Specification Design and New Mechanism Development for Meeting Required Performance
- Deriving drivetrain specifications and selecting optimal specifications
- Designing and optimizing power transmission structures
- Discovering and applying new and challenging mechanisms
■ Robot Hardware Packaging Design
- Hardware Packaging Design for Component Integration within Robot Structures
- Designing placement and layout of major components such as sensors
- Designing structure shape considering component integration
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or Robotics
- Minimum 3 years of experience in robot mechanism design
- Experience in robot mechanism design practice covering robot system specification selection and design, mechanism design, and hardware packaging design
- Intermediate or advanced proficiency in 3D CAD tools
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum 6 years of experience in robot mechanism design
- Proficiency in English (fluent in both written and oral business communication)
- Experience in developing multi-joint manipulators, humanoids, grippers, and mobile robots
- Experience in robot joint drive system and mechanism design
- Experience in cover design considering aesthetic/external design
- Proficiency in using Solidworks, Autocad, Ansys, and Recurdyn
