About the role

Your mission & challenges As part of NEURA Robotics’ Hardware Department, you will be responsible for transforming the visual and industrial design vision of our next-generation humanoid robots into fully feasible, mechanically robust, and production-ready body components. In this role, you bridge the gap between creative concept development and engineering execution, ensuring that robots' form, proportions, surfaces, and functional interfaces are accurately translated into tangible, manufacturable hardware.

Your work spans the realization of the robot’s external and structural identity -developing detailed component designs such as castings, machined parts, sensor and camera housings, link elements, flange interfaces, protective shells, and key structural features essential for NEURA’s humanoid platforms.

You will transform conceptual intent into precise technical documentation, preserving aesthetic quality while meeting performance, assembly, and regulatory constraints.

This role sits at the intersection of visual design, mechanical engineering, prototyping, and manufacturing, ensuring every part reflects both the envisioned appearance and the functional demands of advanced robotics.

What We Can Look Forward To

  • Translate visual concepts and CAD models into clear 2D drawings and 3D production documentation.
  • Develop manufacturing‑ready designs for structural and aesthetic robot body components.
  • Define fits, tolerances, and surface specifications for high‑precision assemblies.
  • Create assembly drawings, exploded views, and build instructions.
  • Support the integration of visually driven components such as:
  • joint modules and articulation covers
  • torso and limb shells
  • sensor and electronics mounting points that align with the robot’s visual geometry
  • protective housings and exoskeleton surfaces that define the robot’s appearance
  • Resolve mechanical design issues while preserving visual intent.
  • Contribute to iterative prototypes and design improvements.
  • Maintain accurate BOMs for all body components.

Must-have

  • Experience producing manufacturing drawings for complex parts.
  • Proficiency in CREO or similar CAD tools.
  • Strong understanding of GD&T, materials, castings, machined parts, and robotic assemblies.
  • Ability to balance visual design intent with mechanical feasibility.
  • Familiarity with FEM, robotic standards, and DFM principles.
  • Teck Stack: ANSYS, CATIA, Creo Simulate, Onshape, PTC Creo, Siemens NX, SolidWorks, Windchill
