About the role
Robotics Engineer Jobs in Quito (Remote, Full-Time) Design, integrate, and deploy robotic systems that combine perception, control, and autonomy. You will ship production robotics capabilities from simulation to real hardware, improving performance, safety, and reliability through metrics-driven iteration and strong engineering practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Own robotics software components and deliver measurable improvements to robot behavior and uptime
- Develop ROS/ROS2 nodes and packages for perception, planning, and control
- Implement and improve SLAM/localization and sensor fusion pipelines
- Integrate and calibrate sensors (LiDAR, cameras, IMU) and manage coordinate frames
- Validate in simulation (e.g., Gazebo/Ignition) and on real hardware; support sim-to-hardware workflows
- Build automated tests, logging/telemetry, debugging tools, and regression test suites
- Tune controllers and motion behaviors; optimize real-time performance and reliability
- Contribute to safety and operational readiness reviews; collaborate across distributed teams
Required Qualifications
- Mid-Senior experience building and debugging robotics systems
- Strong C++ and Python skills
- Practical ROS/ROS2 development experience, including tooling, launch, and debugging
