About the role

Contract RN – Wound Care (Acute Care)

  • Location: Tucson, Arizona 85719
  • Pay: $1,744 – $1,960 per week
  • Hours: 07:00 – 16:30 (day shift)
  • Schedule: 4 shifts per week (36 hours); weekdays vary (M–F)
  • Call/OT: No weekends, no holidays, no call
  • Dress Code: Navy scrubs with navy warm-up jacket
  • Setting: Busy 600+ bed Level I Trauma Center; mobile wound care role

Position Summary & Responsibilities:

  • Provide specialized wound care assessment and treatment in an acute care setting
  • Manage and treat complex wounds, pressure injuries, and related conditions
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans
  • Perform bedside consultations and wound evaluations across units
  • Document assessments, treatments, and patient progress accurately
  • Educate patients and staff on wound care best practices and prevention strategies

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of wound care experience in an acute care setting
  • Current certification as either CWS (Certified Wound Specialist) or WOCN required
  • Prior travel experience preferred (any specialty acceptable)
  • Active RN license required in the state of Arizona prior to hire
  • Strong clinical judgment and wound management skills
