About the role
This Med/Surg Registered Nurse role is based in Hudson, FL at a 290-bed acute care hospital and Level II Trauma Center that is home to a nationally recognized Heart Institute and a comprehensive cardiac and open heart program.
The role. Reporting within the Med/Surg unit, the RN is responsible for the full nursing process across an assigned patient population — assessing, planning, intervening, and evaluating care for medical-surgical patients. The nurse administers medications in accordance with physician orders and provides instruction to patients and their families regarding medications and treatment plans. Accurate maintenance and review of patient records, including posting test and examination results, is a core expectation of the position.
What we're looking for.
- Active Florida RN license or compact RN license; if compact license held, active FL RN license required within 90 days of hire
- Nursing Diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred
- Previous acute care experience strongly preferred; candidates with only recent LTAC experience will not be considered
- Current American Heart Association BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- On-site interview required
Schedule. Full-time, rotating days and nights with rotating weekends.
