- Traveler Candidate: $3,400/week Gross

- 11.5 Hours per Day
- 34.5 Hours per Week
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to provide specialized nursing care in a Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) setting. The RN will be responsible for monitoring and caring for patients recovering from anesthesia and surgical procedures while ensuring safe, high-quality patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans.
- Monitor patients during the immediate post-anesthesia recovery phase.
- Perform IV insertion, medication administration, and ongoing patient assessments.
- Monitor vital signs, pain levels, and recovery progress.
- Recognize and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition.
- Collaborate with physicians, anesthesia providers, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care.
- Ensure compliance with facility policies, patient safety standards, and evidence-based nursing practices.
- Provide patient and family education regarding recovery and discharge instructions.
Required Qualifications
Education
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN/ADN) from an accredited nursing program required.
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
Licensure & Certifications
- Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) License.
- Primary Source Verification of RN License and Registration through NYSED.
- Current AHA BLS Certification.
- ACLS Certification required.
Experience
- Minimum 2 years of Medical/Surgical Nursing experience.
- Minimum 2 years of IV Insertion experience.
- Minimum 2 years of Phlebotomy experience.
- Minimum 2 years of Conscious Sedation experience.
- Acute Care experience preferred.
- PACU/Recovery Room experience preferred.
