RN - Pediatric Nurse

About This Role

This nursing role involves providing direct and indirect care to clients in their home environment, with a focus on pediatric patients. The nurse will also supervise and direct caregivers involved in the client's care plan, performing administrative and clinical responsibilities as required by state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled nursing care and treatment to clients per physician's orders and plan of care
• Document nursing actions of all care given to individuals and inform physicians and family accordingly
• Administer and monitor medication and management as prescribed by physician
• Conduct nursing assessment visits as needed
• Follow policies and procedures according to operation, state, and regulatory standards
• Complete supervisory visits based on compliance and regulations, including review of plan of care, caregiver competency assessment, and completion of required documentation
• Implement nursing support for individuals in a home setting
• Work with Director of Nursing/Nurse Supervisor and/or Branch Manager to address the health needs of individuals
• Participate in staff meetings, in-services, and other meetings as needed
• Ensure compliance with physician's verbal orders and medical reports

Requirements

• Degree in Nursing from an accredited school
• Current and unrestricted license in the state of the operation
• CPR professional certification
• Excellent communication skills with all levels of personnel, internal and external to the company
• Capable of working independently with highly confidential information
