Role Overview: The Nurse Supervisor provides unit-based leadership, collaborating with the Nurse Manager, physicians, and staff to ensure high-quality, cost-effective patient care.
Responsibilities: Supervises nursing and ancillary personnel, coordinates care plans, and ensures compliance with safety and quality standards.
Fosters a patient and family-centered environment, conducts rounds, and addresses care concerns.
Manages staffing based on patient acuity, assigns duties, evaluates performance, and handles personnel issues.
Ensures equipment safety, maintains department cleanliness, and monitors operational efficiency.
Participates in quality improvement initiatives, patient safety programs, and policy development.
Qualifications & Skills: Bachelor's Degree in nursing (required), Master's preferred; 5+ years of technical experience and supervisory skills are required.
Licenses/certifications include RN licensure, BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS.
Strong leadership, communication, clinical judgment, and cultural competence are essential.
Other duties include staffing management, staff training, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
