The Nurse Manager oversees nursing and ancillary staff to ensure safe, high-quality, and patient-centered care. They create a positive environment, supervise daily unit operations, and collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes and staff satisfaction.
- Responsibilities: Lead staffing and scheduling, develop action plans for improvement, monitor care quality through audits, and ensure regulatory compliance. Conduct daily rounds, coordinate care with physicians, and address operational issues. Facilitate throughput and maintain a safe, efficient environment.
- Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in nursing (Master’s preferred), RN licensure, and BLS certification. Leadership experience, acute care nursing background, and specialty certifications are desirable.
- Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making abilities. Ability to build high-performing teams, manage personnel, and foster a culture of safety and excellence.
