About the role
Role:
The RN Oncology Infusion Therapy Clinician provides specialized nursing care in an outpatient infusion setting, administering chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and targeted therapies for malignant and nonmalignant conditions.
Responsibilities Include
- Performing comprehensive assessments, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient-centered care based on evidence-based practices.
- Ensuring safe administration of hazardous drugs and complex therapies while addressing biological, emotional, developmental, psychosocial, and educational needs.
- Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, documenting care, and supporting performance improvement initiatives.
- Serving as a resource, preceptor, and mentor to staff and students, and participating in ongoing education and professional development.
- Promoting evidence-based practice, research, and adherence to safety and regulatory standards.
- Supporting protocols development, resource management, and quality outcomes.
Qualifications & Skills
- Current nursing license and adherence to professional standards.
- Knowledge of oncology infusion therapy, including chemotherapy and targeted treatments.
- Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and cultural competence.
- Ability to work collaboratively, serve as a preceptor, and engage in continuous learning.
- Commitment to safety, quality improvement, and evidence-based practice.
This role requires active participation in team efforts, ongoing education, and ensuring the delivery of safe, compassionate, and high-quality patient care.
