RN II – ICU / CVICU (CNA Represented)
San Luis Obispo, CA
This position is represented by CNA and is for an experienced RN II in the ICU/CVICU setting. The ideal candidate is skilled in critical care nursing and able to respond confidently in both stable and emergent patient situations.
Position Overview
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to ICU and CVICU patients
- Deliver appropriate nursing interventions in stable and emergent situations
- Monitor ventilators, hemodynamics, and vasoactive drips
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with hospital and regulatory standards
- Adhere to patient safety, infection control, and quality care protocols
Education & Work Experience
- High School Diploma/GED: Required
- Associate Degree (A.A. or A.S.): Required
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN): Preferred
- Successful completion of a Critical Care Nursing course: Required
- Six (6) months previous critical care experience: Preferred
Licenses & Certifications

Current California RN license: Required

BLS (BLS, HS-BLS, or RQI BLS): Required

ACLS (ACLS, HS-ACLS, or RQI ACLS): Required

TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course): Required within 1 year of hire or transfer
- Current employees as of 06/30/2021 have 2 years to complete
