About the role
We are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide skilled nursing care to terminally ill patients in their homes, adhering to physician prescriptions and nursing standards. Key Responsibilities Include
- Assessing patient needs and delivering appropriate care.
- Understanding hospice philosophy, pain management, and end-of-life issues.
- Documenting care accurately within electronic medical records.
- Working independently and collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team.
Qualifications
- Graduate from an approved nursing program.
- Current licensure by the State Board of Nursing.
- Valid driver’s license and CPR certification.
- Preferred experience in hospice, long-term care, or with death/dying and bereavement.
- Excellent observation, assessment, communication, and computer skills.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and be flexible and cooperative.
Physical Requirements Include
- Ability to lift, push, or pull 50 lbs.
- Prolonged standing and walking.
- Ability to bend, kneel, reach, and squat.
