About the role
This role is for a Registered Nurse (RN) in a General Surgery Medical-Surgical inpatient unit, responsible for utilizing the nursing process to provide patient care, evaluate care effectiveness, and coordinate with other departments. Key Duties Include
- Maintaining patient rights and confidentiality
- Providing professional accountability for patient care
- Assessing and evaluating care provided by team members
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure quality care
Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited nursing program (Associate, Diploma, or BSN)
- Current RN licensure in Missouri or valid compact license
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days
- Preferred: prior hospital experience, BSN, specialty certifications, additional licensure
Skills And Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks including standing, walking, reaching, and bending
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
