About the role
Role Overview: Provides direct patient care in a technically complex Progressive Care Unit (PCU), utilizing the nursing process and evidence-based practices. Collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to achieve optimal patient outcomes and models proficiency through precepting new healthcare staff.
Responsibilities: Prioritizes patient safety and quality care, supports specialty education and competency validation during clinical orientation, and adheres to AACN’s ECCO® resources and evidence-based care models. Contributes to a secure, safe, and healing environment.
Qualifications & Skills: Must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program (if less than 3 years experience), hold a valid RN license, and have at least 6 months of nursing experience. BLS certification through the American Heart Association or Red Cross is required, valid through sixty days of hire.
