Role:
The Ambulatory Nurse provides comprehensive nursing care within the RN scope, utilizing assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to support individuals, families, and communities.
Responsibilities:
Deliver competent patient care, ensure adherence to standards, document accurately, and educate patients and groups on health and wellness. Acts as preceptor and resource nurse, supports quality improvement initiatives, and assists providers with procedures such as ear washes, nebulizer treatments, IV therapy, wound care, and patient rooming. Performs procedures including EKG, vision screenings, catheterizations, and suture removal. Engages in telephone triage, patient education, and acts as a member of the Code Team.
Qualifications & Skills:
Licensed RN in Illinois, BLS certification within 30 days, nursing diploma, and relevant work experience. Skills include medication administration, performing clinical procedures, patient education, leadership, and teamwork.
