The Risk Operations Trainer (Associate) is responsible for designing, delivering, and continuously updating training programs for backend Onboarding (KYC, KYD, KYB, Name Screening) and Risk & Compliance Operations (AML, Fraud case investigations, email communications, and regulatory reviews).
Sitting within the TQA team, this role works closely with QA, Risk/Compliance, and Operations teams to translate queue metrics, audit findings, and quality scores into targeted coaching, onboarding modules, and continuous enablement initiatives. This role does not perform day-to-day QA audits; instead, it leverages QA insights to upskill backend risk specialists, drive case processing accuracy, and ensure regulatory readiness.
- Training Design & Facilitation
- Develop and deliver interactive training programs focused on backend risk operations, including document verification (KYC/KYB/KYD), Name Screening, AML case handling, Fraud investigation workflows, and email resolution standardizations.
- Design creative, engaging training methods, SOP playbooks, visual guides, and interactive modules beyond static slides to improve retention and procedural accuracy.
- Organize and facilitate training schedules for new hire onboarding, cross-skilling across backend queues, and policy/SOP update rollouts.
- Performance Coaching & TQA Alignment
- Partner closely with the QA team to analyze quality trends, case error rates, audit findings, and queue processing metrics.
- Conduct targeted 1-on-1 coaching sessions, refresher training, and feedback loops to minimize processing errors and rework.
- Track and evaluate post-training performance to measure knowledge retention and compliance alignment.
- Operational Improvement & Initiatives
- Proactively identify process bottlenecks or knowledge gaps within backend queues and present actionable training proposals to leadership.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Risk & Compliance, QA, and Product/Tech teams to ensure training documentation matches current system workflows and regulatory rules.
- Maintain flexibility to assist neighboring operational teams and support broad enablement efforts within the TQA team.
Experience: 1-3 years of total experience, coming from either of the following paths:
- Operations Trainer/ Enablement background with exposure to backend Risk, FinTech, or Compliance operations.
- Risk/ Fraud/ KYC Analyst (backend processing/queue checking) with a strong interest or proven experience in peer coaching, training, or process improvement.
