Revenue Cycle Specialist

About This Role

This full-time position provides billing support functions in a friendly, positive, and professional manner within an outpatient healthcare environment. The specialist interacts with third-party payers to file billing claims for services rendered and assists clients in ensuring payment for services.

Responsibilities

• Support NorthKey Community Care staff and clients regarding billing matters in a polite, courteous, and professional manner
• Submit billing data to third-party payers and work claims to ensure maximum reimbursement for services provided
• Perform posting charges and completion of claims to payers in a timely fashion
• Assist, cooperate, and communicate with staff regarding fiscal matters in the billing department
• Adhere to strict confidentiality and HIPAA regulations

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent is required
• Experience with Medicare, Medicaid, and/or Commercial payors
• Strong organizational and attention-to-detail skills
• Skills in analyzing billing issues to formulate logical and objective conclusions and/or recommendations for solutions
• Proficient in the use of computers and business software (in particular Electronic Health Record systems and Microsoft Office products, including Word and Excel)

Nice to have:

• Associate's degree or higher
• At least 2 years of prior medical billing and/or coding experience
