Revenue Cycle Specialist

About This Role

The Revenue Cycle Specialist facilitates the timely collection of invoices by building relationships with business office managers in assigned markets and working with responsible parties to obtain payment. This role is crucial for maintaining positive relationships with facilities and ensuring efficient financial operations.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with and build a positive relationship with assigned facilities to facilitate timely payment of invoices
• Contact responsible parties to obtain payment for outstanding invoices
• Contact case workers as necessary to expedite Medicaid adjustments
• Work in phone queue to answer questions about Senior Dental Care billing
• Clearly document all interactions in Salesforce
• Recommend write-offs for uncollectable accounts
• Partner with internal stakeholders to meet company objectives
• Provide periodic updates to supervisor on assigned accounts
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Associate’s degree preferred, or equivalent work experience
• 2+ years’ experience in accounts receivable/collections/customer service/or account management
• Proficient with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Experience working in Salesforce or other CRM systems
• Problem solving skills to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner
• Customer service skills to manage difficult client/customer situations, respond promptly to customer needs, solicit customer feedback to improve service, respond to requests for service and assistance and meet commitments
• Planning/organizing skills to prioritize and plan work activities and use time efficiently
• Quality control/Attention to detail to demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness; monitor own work to ensure quality and apply feedback to improve performance
• Adaptability to changes in the work environment, manage competing demands, and deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events
• Dependability to consistently be at work and on time, follow instructions, respond to management direction, and solicit feedback to improve performance
• Able to work in a team environment

Important Details

• Schedule: standard business hours Monday - Friday
• Work format: reports to the office for the first six months, then moves to hybrid. Full remote position will be considered for candidates living further than 50 miles from Overland Park, KS.
