About This Role
The Retention Specialist is responsible for maintaining the renewal book of business while providing excellent customer service. This position involves servicing auto, home, and commercial insurance products and working directly with customers on their service needs, as well as assisting sales agents.
Responsibilities
- Update Policy Expiration Report daily to maintain an accurate list of renewals.
- Process and/or re-quote renewal policies as needed.
- Complete insurance applications for new insurance policies, as necessary.
- Follow up and complete underwriting from the insurance company.
- Set up customers in the Insurance Management System and/or update customer information in the Insurance Management System.
- Scan all documents into the Insurance Management System.
- Initiate policy changes with the insurance company and update in the Insurance Management System.
- Pull and process mail daily.
- Send postcards, new market letters, or other insurance literature as needed.
- Assist branch personnel and/or other agents as needed.
- Provide excellent customer service to co-workers and the public.
- Keep current with all insurance laws and regulations.
- Follow all Bank Secrecy Act policies and procedures to assist in detecting and preventing money laundering and other illegal activities conducted through the company.
Requirements
- Strong customer service skills.
- Knowledge of insurance laws and regulations.
- Experience with Insurance Management Systems is preferred.
