Overview
Join our vibrant retail team as a Retail Sales Associate and become the friendly face that helps customers find the perfect products for their outdoor spaces and home needs! In this energetic role, you’ll provide exceptional customer service, assist with product selection, and ensure our store remains inviting and well-organized. Whether guiding a customer through plant choices or ringing up a sale at the POS system, your positive attitude and proactive approach will drive success every day.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly, listen to their needs, and recommend suitable gardening, landscaping, or floral products
- Assist with plant identification, horticulture advice, and landscape maintenance tips to support customer projects
- Operate POS systems accurately for sales transactions, handle cash and card payments, and manage cash handling procedures
- Maintain attractive displays by merchandising products effectively and restocking shelves regularly
- Support outdoor work activities such as lawn care, planting, watering, and general garden maintenance when needed
- Provide excellent customer service through phone communication, answering inquiries about products or store services
- Keep the store organized by stocking merchandise, managing inventory levels, and ensuring cleanliness and safety standards are met
Requirements
- Previous experience in retail sales or outdoor work environments is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for gardening and landscaping is essential
- Strong communication skills in English; multilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse customers
- Knowledge of plant identification, horticulture practices, floral design, and landscape maintenance techniques is highly desirable
- Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling procedures, retail math, and merchandising strategies
- Ability to perform outdoor work comfortably in various weather conditions; experience with lawn care or landscape maintenance is a plus
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail for stocking and inventory management
- Outgoing personality with exceptional customer service skills; ability to communicate clearly over the phone and in person
