Retail Operations Specialist

About This Role

This role focuses on operational excellence to support sales and provide an exceptional experience for Ulta Beauty guests. The specialist ensures fixtures are stocked, maintains store cleanliness, and completes assigned tasks, supporting the Merchandise Manager and Operations Manager through a focus on performance, people, and process.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to meeting or exceeding the store’s retail goals by ensuring all tasks are executed as planned and product is available for purchase
• Meet compliance and execution goals related to the task dashboard and ensure the timely completion of all operational processes, including shipment and replenishment, merchandise sets, and inventory counts and procedures
• Maintain prompt, regular attendance
• Contribute to an inclusive environment that supports teammates, peers, and internal and external guests
• Regularly participate in ongoing training, including brand and category education, to enable continuous professional development and drive sales performance
• Be knowledgeable of and ensure compliance with Ulta Beauty’s policies, procedures, and standards
• Adhere to Ulta Beauty’s dress code
• Complete merchandise resets, planograms, marketing displays, physical inventory procedures, and process shipment using Ulta Beauty’s technology and best practices
• Drive operational excellence by keeping assigned work area replenished, signed, and faced, and ensuring testers are available
• Maintain outstanding store standards and overall store cleanliness including salesfloor, restrooms, cashwrap, backroom, and break area
• Protect company assets by following loss prevention best practices and providing exceptional guest service
• Execute other operational tasks as directed

Requirements

• High school diploma is preferred
• 1 year of relevant work experience or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience preferred
• Proficient with basic technology (e.g., Point of Sale system and Apple devices)
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to problem solve

• Schedule: flexible, including early morning shifts, days, evenings, weekends, overnights, and holidays
