Why does this job exist and why is it critical? Job Summary**
The Retail Assistant Store Manager will support the Store Manager in overseeing daily operations of a Maxis Mobile retail store, ensuring excellent customer service, achieving sales targets, and maintaining a positive and productive work environment.
Job Responsibilities**
- Assist the Store Manager in leading, coaching, and motivating a team of retail sales consultants to achieve individual and store sales goals.
- Oversee daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, inventory management, and visual merchandising standards.
- Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by actively engaging with customers, resolving complaints, and providing expert advice on Maxis products and services.
- Monitor sales performance, analyze data, and implement strategies to drive sales growth and profitability.
- Train new employees on product knowledge, sales techniques, and company policies and procedures.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting store environment.
- Assist with scheduling, performance reviews, and other HR-related tasks as delegated by the Store Manager.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and security measures.
- Act as Store Manager in their absence, taking full responsibility for store operations and team leadership.
Job Qualifications**
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in retail sales, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or assistant management role, preferably in the telecommunications industry.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a sales team.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
- Sound knowledge of retail operations, including inventory management, visual merchandising, and cash handling.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- A diploma or degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
