Restaurant Manager

Managing a restaurant for South Florida's largest and most popular chain, this role involves overseeing all kitchen operations, staff management, and ensuring compliance with company policies and health code standards. It suits an experienced restaurant manager with an ownership mentality and flexibility for scheduling, ready to grow with the company.

Responsibilities

• Communicate all kitchen issues with management throughout the day
• Read and write notes in the manager's daily log in English
• Attend weekly manager's meetings and monthly staff meetings
• Read the weekly memo
• Complete weekly/monthly employee evaluations
• Communicate with all managers on duty when shift is completed
• Relate an accurate, honest report of all events, both positive and negative
• Comply with all policies, rules, and directions covered in manuals, memos, and meetings
• Attend quarterly supervisor meetings
• Be adept at ordering and formulating pars
• Understand and facilitate proper health code standards
• Adhere to Flanigan's always hiring policy and conduct interviews in a timely fashion
• Issue written evaluations for positive and/or negative performance
• Adhere to Flanigan's policies for dress and grooming

Requirements

• Current food management certification
• Possess and demonstrate an ownership mentality
• Flexibility for scheduling; Flanigan's is open 365 days per year
• Willingness to transfer to a different geographical location
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Basic math skills; able to count currency and make change, use a calculator to add, subtract, multiply, and divide
• Basic computer skills
• Able to see, speak clearly, listen attentively, taste, and smell
• Able to read and write English
• Ability to stand and move about at a moderate pace for up to 4 hours at length
• Stamina to work 50 to 55 hours per week
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Able to bend, stoop, squat, or crawl
• Coordination necessary to operate kitchen equipment
