About This Role
Managing the day-to-day operations and future success of the restaurant is the core of this role. You will support the team both on shift and behind the scenes, helping them create fantastic moments and feelings for customers, and will be ready to step in and take on responsibilities as required.
Responsibilities
- Lead, develop and motivate the restaurant team to deliver the Nando's experience
- Support the attraction, recruitment and training of Nandocas (employees at Nando's)
- Support the growth and development of Nandocas through training and quality conversations
- Recognize success and ensure everyone is well informed and heard by using appropriate communication channels
- Develop labor schedules that enable the team to deliver the Nando's experience
- Support the development and training of Assistant Managers in the restaurant and the region
- Support the team to deliver amazing food, freshly cooked to order and served hot
- Manage inventory and order stocks to ensure all products are available
- Keep the restaurant beautiful, safe, clean and representative of the Nando's brand
- Carry out, monitor and correct procedures to be safe, legal and follow Nando's standards
- Grow sales by running shifts in a way that creates positive customer moments and delivers operational efficiency
- Understand the full P&L of the restaurant, and take responsibility for delivering the restaurant's financial targets including sales and all controllable costs
- Review and ensure timely, accurate and complete daily/weekly/monthly reporting
- Work on business planning, from strategic planning to daily forecasting
- Develop and support local restaurant marketing
- Implement effective restaurant administration, stock control, security and safety
Requirements
- Management experience from a hospitality, retail or leisure background
- Passion and energy to inspire, lead and grow your Nandocas
- Eagerness to learn, develop and grow
- Expertise to nurture your family of Nandocas
- Confidence to network with local businesses and engage with customers
- Natural desire to drive sales and the commercial mindset to make it happen
- Proficient in English and Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to work on shifts, weekends and public holidays
