About This Role
This role is for a friendly and customer-focused Restaurant Host to join a luxury resort team. As the first point of contact for guests, the host plays a crucial role in ensuring a warm welcome and an exceptional dining experience.
Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome guests to the restaurant with a friendly and professional demeanor
- Manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently
- Escort guests to their tables and provide menus
- Communicate effectively with kitchen and wait staff to ensure smooth service
- Handle guest enquiries and special requests with empathy and support
- Maintain a clean and tidy reception area
- Assist in resolving any dining-related issues or complaints
- Coordinate with other departments to enhance the overall guest experience
- Keep up-to-date with menu changes, daily specials, and resort activities
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
Requirements
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong customer service orientation with a friendly and empathetic approach
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Basic computer literacy for managing reservations and guest information
- Secondary school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to work in a tropical resort environment
- Willingness to live and work in the Maldives
- Fluency in English; knowledge of additional languages is an advantage
