The host ensures a comfortable atmosphere and maintains the cleanliness and stock levels of the restaurant and bar areas.
Responsibilities
Prepare and pour drink orders with proper portions and ingredients according to recipes
Present drinks to guests as required
Inventory stock, fill requisitions, and communicate with the kitchen and beverage department to maintain proper levels of foods and beverages
Monitor, prepare, display, and maintain food items to ensure presentation and freshness throughout the shift
Operate and maintain all equipment and utensils in accordance with established guidelines and safety procedures
Maintain, clean, organize, and stock prep area in accordance with established property guidelines, including health and safety
Maintain a comfortable atmosphere by monitoring temperature and furniture arrangement
Dust and clean bookcases, shelving, windows, TV monitors and remotes
Vacuum floors and rugs
Clean windows
Ensure all reading literature provided for guests is current, including newspapers, magazines, and casino collateral
Monitor and maintain bathroom cleanliness and supplies
Monitor guest consumption of alcohol and intervene as needed according to guidelines
Serve as an ambassador of goodwill while working and at customer and public relations functions
Appear in publicity photos
Promote casino events and programs
Work closely with Casino Hosts to prepare for and accommodate the needs of guests
Work well with others
Provide personalized service and use guest names
Resolve service problems according to guidelines
Adhere to regulatory, departmental, and company policies in an ethical manner
Provide exceptional customer service to all patrons and communicate in a pleasant, friendly, and professional manner at all times
Maintain a professional work environment with supervisors and staff
Meet the attendance guidelines of the job and adhere to regulatory, departmental, and company policies
Attend all necessary training meetings
Assist in other projects, as directed
Requirements
Minimum of 18 years of age or older upon employment
High school diploma or its equivalency preferred
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Food service knowledge to prepare and maintain food items within property guidelines, including health and safety
