Respiratory Therapist - Respiratory Care

Role Overview:
The Respiratory Therapist (RRT) evaluates, treats, and educates patients of all ages with cardiopulmonary issues, following established protocols and physician prescriptions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provides respiratory care including oxygen therapy, ventilatory support, airway management, and emergency response.
• Performs patient assessments, reviews physician orders, and collaborates with healthcare teams to develop and adjust care plans.
• Conducts diagnostic testing such as blood gases, pulmonary function tests, and monitors patient responses.
• Educates patients and families, supports discharge planning, and mentors new staff and students.
• Ensures equipment safety, performs maintenance, and recommends appropriate technology use.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Graduate from an accredited Respiratory Care program with certification eligible for the RRT exam.
• Licensed in respiratory therapy, with current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications.
• Minimum one year of clinical experience preferred.
• Strong clinical, communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills across all age groups.
