Job Description Job Summary The Respiratory Therapist administers respiratory care and life support to patients with abnormalities and deficiencies of the cardiopulmonary system by prescription and under the supervision of a physician.
Key Responsibilities
- Obtains physician's order 100% of the time prior to initiating therapy.
- Able to appropriately assess all patients before and after therapy is delivered 100% of the time.
- Sets up all routine therapy modalities according to policy and procedure 100% of the time.
- Able to set up and monitor all life support equipment according to policy and procedure 100% of the time.
- Able to set up and perform EKG's on patients in a timely fashion.
- Able to perform all POCT including controls, proficiencies and documentation. Maintain all State and Joint Commission requirements for licensing and accreditation
Required Qualifications RT license in state of practice
Basic Life Support (BLS)
Preferred Qualifications Associate Respiratory Therapy
3 Years Respiratory care practitioner
1 Year Pediatric Critical Care
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
The pay range for this position is $32.15 - $48.24. Compensation is determined based on years of relevant experience and departmental equity.
