About the role
A healthcare facility is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to provide diagnostic and therapeutic respiratory care services as part of a multidisciplinary patient care team. This position supports patients across a variety of clinical settings by delivering respiratory treatments, monitoring respiratory status, and assisting with advanced airway and ventilation needs.
Responsibilities
- Perform respiratory assessments, including evaluation of breath sounds, airway function, and respiratory status.
- Provide diagnostic respiratory procedures to assess patient needs and response to therapy.
- Administer oxygen therapy, aerosol medication treatments, and chest physiotherapy.
- Assist with airway management procedures and support artificial airway placement.
- Initiate, monitor, and maintain invasive and noninvasive mechanical ventilation.
- Transport ventilator-dependent patients while ensuring safe respiratory support.
- Respond to emergency situations and assist with airway management during resuscitation efforts.
- Document respiratory assessments, treatments, and patient responses accurately.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to support quality patient care.
Requirements
- Associate Degree or Certificate Program in Respiratory.
- NBRC and State Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) required; new graduates and CRT candidates will also be considered.
- BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- NRP - Neonate Resuscitate must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date.
Schedule
Available on days or nights with rotating weekends.
