Respiratory Care - Pediatric Neonatal Respiratory Therapist

About This Role

This position involves performing duties related to the treatment, management, diagnostic evaluation, and care of patients with pulmonary system deficiencies and abnormalities. The role focuses on pediatric and neonatal therapeutic equipment and processes, including intubation, ventilator management with conventional and high-frequency oscillatory (HFO) ventilation, Nitric Oxide, and surfactant administration. The Respiratory Therapist may also assist in high-risk deliveries, C-sections, and regional ground transport.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties involved with the treatment, management control, diagnostic evaluation, and care of patients with deficiencies and/or abnormalities within the Pulmonary system
• Manage pediatric and neonatal therapeutic equipment and processes including intubation, ventilator management with conventional, as well as high-frequency oscillatory (HFO) ventilation, Nitric Oxide and surfactant administration
• Assist in high-risk deliveries, C-sections, and regional ground transport

Requirements

• Degree in Respiratory Care
• Active ASBRT LRT
• Active NBRC RRT
• BLS certification
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Respiratory Therapist and/or pulmonary function testing
• Excellent knowledge of MS Office and familiarity with relevant computer software
• Strong team leadership skills

Nice to have:

• Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Care
• Additional certifications (ACLS, PALS, NRP, etc.) may be required depending upon area assigned
• Neonatal Pediatric Transport certification required if assisting with regional ground transport
