Resort Director

About This Role

This night-shift post on the cardiac ward pairs patient care with mentoring new nurses. This is a rare opportunity to lead a destination resort encompassing dining, bars, leisure, entertainment, and a significant events business. The role involves full ownership and growth across all aspects, from maximizing room occupancy and event bookings to increasing per-guest spending.

Responsibilities

• Own full P&L accountability: revenue, yield, margin, EBITDA
• Oversee the events engine: corporate conferencing, private functions, ticketed and seasonal events, from first inquiry to the final encore
• Drive commercial growth: corporate accounts, agency relationships, pricing, packaging, and sales strategy
• Manage the entire guest operation: food, drink, leisure, entertainment
• Lead a large, multidisciplinary team and foster a cohesive culture
• Maintain standards that encourage repeat business: NPS, rebookings, five-star reviews

Requirements

• Experience as a resort, destination, or large-venue leader who has grown a significant P&L, not just protected one
• Proven events pedigree, having sold, priced, and delivered large corporate and paying-guest events at scale
• A sharp commercial operator with in-depth knowledge of forecasting, yield, sales teams, and client relationships
• People-first approach and relentless focus on standards
• Comfortable interacting with the biggest clients as well as working on the floor
• Open to relocation, as this is a destination role
