This senior role combines direct care with shift leadership and supporting the wider staff team in a therapeutic children's home. You will work closely with management to ensure the home provides safe, consistent, and high-quality care, leading by example and building strong relationships with the child.
Next Steps Children's Care is a child-centred residential childcare provider committed to creating safe, nurturing, and therapeutic homes for children and young people. Founded by a Care Leaver, its home in Castle Donington is a therapeutic children's home, providing highly individualised care and support to a child with complex emotional, behavioural, and/or learning needs. The approach is built around trauma-informed, PACE relationship-based care, with consistency, trust, and the child's individual needs at the centre of everything they do. The service also benefits from clinical input and support from a psychology team, alongside regular staff development and supervision.
